SAN ANGELO, TEXAS

San Angelo State Park was a $10 a night stay if you do primitive camping with no electric or water (yay for solar panels), but the park has hook-ups if needed. It was a short drive from town and had the most beautiful yellow wildflowers dotted throughout the open fields. The park is also home to bison and the Official Texas State Long Horn Herd.
